To get started, tell me what type of media you are sending and how many of each you want to transfer to digital. Tell me if you want your transfers delivered on a USB flash drive or DVD. I will then send you a quote with shipping instructions. No payment is due until the work is complete. .

 For tapes, DVDs, slides, pictures, and negatives, just count them. Each frame on a negative strip counts as one picture. For movie films, measure the diameter of the reels and tell me how many of each diameter you have. The small ones are usually 3-inch diameter 

Packing your items you will need:

    - A box

    - Small bubble wrap

    - Shipping tape

To prepare your items for shipping find a suitable size box that will allow space for packing to protect the media. Wrap media in bubble wrap. You can wrap several together in the bubble wrap. You are trying to keep them from banging against one another in shipping. For tapes allow room for a couple of layers of bubble wrap on all sides to protect them from external impact. Do not use packing peanuts as Styrofoam particles can get inside the tape cases.

If you want to be doubly safe you can pack your box inside another box. You can use bubble wrap and/or packing peanuts for this. This will add cost to your shipping.

Include in the box a paper with my name and address labeled" TO:" and your name and address labeled "From:". This is in case the shipping label on the outside of the box is damaged the shipping service can reference this paper to find the owner of the media

What shipping service do I use?

You can use any of the major shipping companies, UPS, FedEx, or USPS. The shipper can provide you a shipping label when you purchase the postage. They can also provide shipping insurance. Make sure and get a tracking number and send me a copy of the number so I can track it on its way to me.

 No payment is due until the work is complete. As I progress, I will send links to you of some samples of your videos. When I am done, I will send an invoice. It will include the cost of your transfers, any adjustment to the quantities if needed, and return shipping. I will ship out the transfers (DVD and/or digital files) and your media you sent on payment of the invoice.
